I love the Queen. So I was sooo excited about the Golden Jubilee. It was a wonderful time, great weather, the country pulling together and enjoying the occasion. At the time I helped out at the local Beaver Scouts group and we arranged a procession through the Village to mark the day, the weather was fantastic and the children loved riding through the village on decorated float.
I love this picture of Joe he was having so much fun and it is written all over his face.
I Just had to put this lion on! Every time I look at it I cringe, I thought it was a stuffed toy and I needed to talk to one of the children behind it. I grabbed hold of the thighs, climbed on and leaned across it to talk to the children, then I realised!!! It was a man in a costume, I could see his eyes looking at me through the Lion eyes, I wanted the ground to swallow me up I was soooo embarrassed, I never found out who the man inside was, I don't want to know. But he knows who I am, apart from the mad woman who climbed on his knee and gripped his thighs.

These are Jubilee cup cakes I made for friends that came to celebrate with us. Of course along with a nice British summertime jug of Pimms.
