The Green Chimney Cafe/Bistro Colne

I have just been to lunch at the Green Chimney in Colne Lancashire. I have heard lots of hype about it lately; everybody seems to be talking about it.

So we went today for a girls lunch, I didn't really know what to expect, I have friends who love it so expected it to be nice but nothing like I experienced.

As a lover of Friends, I think it is the nearest I will ever get to visiting the Central Perk cafe. It is so cute and quirky and as I looked around clearly this is the place to be at the moment. The atmosphere is buzzing and trendy and the welcome was very warm, I felt instantly comfortable as I walked in.

We were quickly offered drinks; my diet coke came in a really cute jar. I know this is only a small touch but this place is full of those small touches that made it feel so cool and retro.

mmm Burger

The menu looked great, completely different and the food combinations were all so exciting that it was almost impossible to choose. I decided to go for the salmon and strawberry salad with liquorish drizzle. It was so tasty I loved the extra taste of the liquorish.

I have put pictures of all our meals on, as they all looked amazing. Especially Jennie's steak, which was cooked just how I like it, so I may try that next time.

We all finished of with a coffee, which came with little hearts on the top. And to top it off it was great value. I loved the whole atmosphere and feel on the green chimney and can't wait to take Chris and the Boys.
