My Dream Bathroom, The Great British Home Challenge with Victoria Plumb

I saw this opportunity to write about my dream bathroom this week, and thought mmm. I hate my upstairs bathroom, it is built in the eaves, awkward and to be honest it is drab and boring. So thought this would be a great opportunity to give my Wonderful Hubby Chris a big fat nudge.

So here you go Chris I have compiled a shopping list for you; there are a few optional extras on the list but see what you can do to make it happen.

I started by taking the Victoria Plumb,Great British Home Quiz.

My Results are:

You are Mrs Elegant.
YOUR STYLE IS MOST LIKE LADY MARY OR LORD GILLINGHAM FROM DOWNTON ABBEY.

Elegant and classy, you just adore period décor and style. You love the classics; subtle wallpaper, dark wood and rich colours. You have a penchant for opulent fabrics and secretly covet a Steinway piano for your living room. You search antiques fairs until you get the perfect piece. At home, your tastes are high-class classics; game pie, roast beef and all the trimmings or a fillet of plaice.

So with Elegant in mind, here goes my not to demanding wish list for Chris.I thought although the bathroom is a good size, it wouldn't hurt to be a bit larger, would it? So if you could just manage to arrange a 15ft by 10ft extension it really would help this project.

Also a picture window would be good, it would need to be morphing glass. Morphing glass can be dimmed, frosted or be left as see-through. Yes I know this is may be a tad expensive but would be worth every penny, don't you think?

Once that is completed, I was thinking Walnut floor, with a nice big Arc roll top bath. This would be perfect in front of the picture window. I could enjoy the views whilst enjoying a nice glass of wine in the bath. I quite like the matching pedestal basin and WC I think they go well don't you?

There is no point doing all this work and not putting a shower in, so I have chosen the V6 designer shower. I thought that would be nice and easy for you to fit. And looks great too. Also I know after all the work is complete, you may have no money left for the weekend car you have been dreaming off. So having a V6 shower would be just as great as having a V6 engine. See I am even thinking of your needs here!
And last but not least, I love these Metro taps, they will look fantastic don't you think? Now I have priced the bathroom up in Victoria Plumb and it is a bargain at £2,711.
On top of that I estimate the building costs at roughly £57,000 pounds but that does include the Morphing Glass, Towels, Hand Soap, Shower Gel and a Rubber Duck.

So all we need to do now is find a builder. But as you can see have I have done all the research and hard work for you.

I told you it wasn't that ambitious didn't I!
