I had to blog this recipe, it is amazing, and the
problem is I have no pretty pictures. I just have a picture of the finished
result, and my word that this recipe truly is so delicious.
I got it from my slimming world consultant Janet
last week tried Lianne tried and loved it, so I thought I would have a try.
The reason I have no pretty pictures as after I had
finished hacking at the pork and cutting the fat off it looked awful, I think
even the dog would have turned it down. It didn't look much better when it was
in the slow cooker. To be honest it looked disgusting, but I persevered
and I am so glad I did, as it tasted amazing. Actually it tasted fattening
it was that good.
3-4lb pork shoulder(trim all the
fat off, not for the faint hearted eeew, but keep going its worth it)
5 tbsp Worcester sauce
1 tsp mustard powder
500g passata
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 cloves of garlic (crushed ! I
really struggled crushing ! So chopped)
3 tbsp of sweetener
Half tsp of salt and pepper
Place all but the pork in a pan and
bring to the boil whilst whisking, until it thickens.
Place the pork in a slow cooker
pour over the sauce and leave for 6-8 hours.
For the last hour take the lid off
and turn the slow cooker down to reduce the sauce.
Shred the pork and serve with
potato wedges, salad and a soft brown roll. And wow it
really does taste amazing. I was not sure about trying this recipe
but it really tastes great.
Mmmm I think i will try that
