Calf Diet, We are Having a Break

So, I broke the news yesterday and she took it well. I have told my Calf Diet we are on a break, only a short one. We have agreed to meet up on Thursday the 8th of Jan. I will explain what I have been up too. Do a weigh in and explain my results.

Its awful to say but I am feeling bored with posting every Thursday, I have struggled lately and yoyo'd around 9st 13lb.  I am thrilled with this weight; I can't believe I have lost 15 pounds. But feel I need to enjoy Christmas.

Don't get me wrong I have no intentions of cheating on my Calf Diet, I will do my best to remain faithful, exercise, try to eat healthy. But I will enjoy Christmas.

When we meet in January I hope I won't have any explaining to do, I hope she is proud of my efforts. But understanding of the fact that a girl has to live, and it has been Christmas.

So my good friend Calf Diet, its goodbye for now, I will remember you, you haven't left my side since March. Have been a loyal friend, got me into size 10 and my purple Hunters wellies. For that I owe you. And can't wait to meet up in January ready to prepare for the summer.

Calf Diet Week 35, Trying To Maintain My Weight.

So I have been out to lunch already this week, and also going out for an Italian meal, I have so much planned over the next few months that I know I am not going to loose weight easily. I am so pleased to have lost 1.5 pounds this week, and if I can be this weight on the 30th Jan I will be happy.

I sound like a broken record don't I? So I will continue making right choices, try not to be greedy and maintain my weight until January. I am actually happy the weight I am at the moment so maintaining will now be my goal.

If anything, if I had to push myself, getting to my original target of 9st12 and staying that way till January is my ultimate goal. Fingers crossed I will achieve this and keep the weight off.

I know this is going to mean NOT being greedy with chocolate and keeping to my routine of healthy cooking. I must not start creeping in fattening sauces and ingredients. And defiantly not overdoing it with the wine, this is my weakness.

Calf Diet Week 34

I don't really want to talk about it this week? Apart from to say I totaly blame black Wednesday and the wine I drank as a result. I thought it might also help to list the things which I should have through the week.
Sausage sandwich on a brown t cake
Chicken club sandwich on white bread with aspen fries
3 extra cereal bars
6 extra glasses of wine and
1 drifter bar
Mmm it probably isn't totally down to black Wednesday, all those things didn't seem as bad individually but when you add them up, not so great is it?

Calf Diet, Week 23 A Hard Week

Phew thank god I got that 3/4 pounds off again, this week has been so hard.  I have felt so hungry and craved chocolate almost constantly. I have managed to fight the urges by eating bananas, in fact I have probably eaten my body weight in bananas. I am surprised I haven't grown hair and started to resemble and giant panda or gorilla.

At one time I did seriously consider wrestling a kit-kat off one of my students and running for the hills. Fortunately I resisted, I am so glad I was able to show restraint as I have survived week 23, 3/4 of a pound lighter and with no restraining orders against me for mugging people for kit-kats.

Calf Diet Week 22

Ooooh I have put 3/4 lb. on this week. I fully understand why, this is just that one week in 4, when I put on that little bit if weight. so am not going to stress, as it will come off. I am still at just over a 1 stone loss so very happy.

The weight might be coming off slowly; but it is coming off, so I can't complain. I am still getting to go out for meals and enjoy a glass of wine.

Calf Diet, Week 21, Hoorah I Have Reached a Stone.

Omg 1 stone and .5lb

I was so excited at my weigh in when I saw the scales, not only have I lost 1.5lb this week I have reached a stone. Hoorahhhhh, its weird I have got so used to eating this way now (healthy) that I don't feel I am trying. Is has become a way of life.

I haven't been this weight in years. Yesterday I kept taking sneaky looks at this photo to check I wasn't dreaming; I am now in the 9s whoop whoop. Yes I am a tad excited, I know, I am hiding it well. So I now have 1.5 pounds to my target of 9st 12lb. Then I may reset another target, only a tiny one, to give myself a buffer zone for holidays and weekends away.

Calf Diet, Week 20, Birthday Week so lots of Treats.

This week I went to the Kitchen Garden Cafe for afternoon tea; I haven't eaten cakes for ages. Trust me I didn't get to eat them all as Joe was drooling over them, so ended up sharing.  However in the back of my mind I was thinking this was the way forward the more Jack and Joe ate the less I ate. As it has been my birthday I also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Champagne on Friday night, and a healthy slice of birthday cake. Eeek.

If I can have the odd week like this and still maintain my weight then I am happy. I still need to get to target but can't believe how much better I feel with the weight I have lost so far.

Calf Diet Week 19

I am actually really relieved to see this today as I thought I had put on more. This week will not be great as it is my birthday and I have bought a nice bottle of Verve Clicquot for tomorrow night, and Chris and the boys are taking me out for lunch on Saturday. However next week I really have to knuckle down and work harder.I am half a pound off loosing a stone and only 3lb. off target, a little push and I can do that easy.x

Calf Diet Week 16

Well, loosing 3/4 pound is better than nothing, I am happy with that. I went back to work on Monday and have noticed I hungrier when I am at work. Much hungrier than at home. How weird is that? I have definitely eaten more fruit to fill up this week.

Apart from that not really much to report this week. We are busy this weekend and I know that will involve extra sins, wine, champagne  nibbles and tapas. So if I maintain it will be a miracle.
However I feel I have done really well throughout the summer so will allow myself a weekend off. This weekend was one of the main inspirations for my calf diet. Obviously alongside my new Hunters Wellies. So loosing nearly a stone is a huge achievement that I will celebrate this weekend. Then next weekend I will of course be back on it on, working on the Christmas countdown arghhh I know can you believe I just said that.

Calf Diet Week 15, Having a Wardrobe Clear Out

Hoorah I have lost a pound. That makes a total loss of 12lbs, just 4.5lb of my target. I have had a quiet week food wise; I have just slipped into a healthy eating groove. I am now in a habit of eating healthier food, and enjoying it. I don't feel it is such a struggle when ordering food in restaurants and I am able to find something healthier and lower fat.

Although yes, I still went out Saturday night and had a lovely evening with great Friends and maybe a glass or two, too much wine.

My great success of this week was when I cleared my wardrobe out.  I noticed a few of my clothes were a little big for me, not all of them but some. So I completely emptied my wardrobe and tried every item on. I had two bin bags of clothes that were too big for me, I know, arghhh. Only one size to big, but never the less to big.

I also had a big pile of clothes that have to be honest never fit; you know the clothes you buy when you have a skinny day. But when you get home are way to tight. Or, fit you years ago, but you like too much to throw away, well they all fit, arghhh. The feeling I had when I had dragged the bin bags down the stairs, and re organised my clothes that never used to fit me on hangers ready to wear.  Is the feeling I want to remember if I am ever tempted to eat a takeaway, or giant chocolate bar, the feeling of achievement, that I can control my weight and still enjoy food? I have just retrained my taste buds. Still 4.5 lb. to go though, so whilst I am pleased with my success so far, this is not a good time to become complacent.

Calf Diet Week 14, I Managed to Maintain my Weight Whilst on Holiday

Well, I am gob smacked and soooo pleased. I achieved what I set out to do this week, maintain my weight whilst on holiday. How did I do it?  I think it has a lot to do with the amount of walking we have done; we have walked miles over the last week. I do think that has really helped.

I haven't limited myself with wine and have enjoyed a good few glasses in the evening, but have thought about food choices. I have chosen salads wherever possible, but have allowed myself extra healthy extras each day. I have-not been a saint this last week, but I have tried to ensure I maintain some sort of healthy eating level. Chris and the boys were eating tiger bread for lunch at CenterParks, and it has been torture to stick to salads and not have the bread that smelt delicious, but I am glad I did.

But I have enjoyed lots of treats like my glasses of wine, the odd low sin ice-lolly, and burger and chunky chips at the Lazy Cow at Stratford-Upon-Avon. So I feel like I have been able to enjoy my holiday without overdoing it.

I notice whilst away that some of the clothes I packed were a little too big, so yesterday I went through my wardrobe and wow, I have 2 bin bags of clothes that do not fit me anymore, some jeans I had saved from years ago that were to tight are now to baggy on my legs, a bikini I saved that is too big.  I am thrilled as I may have only lost 11lb but it is really starting to show in my clothes.

I have 2 weeks until my next little break so have two weeks to stick to plan and loose a couple of pounds, before my romantic weekend in Barcelona.
