Center Parcs Woburn Forest

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at Center Parcs Woburn Forest. It was our 12th visit to Center Parcs, but first to Woburn. Even though we knew what to expect from a brand that as become part of our family life (we have been visiting ever since Joe was born). We were super excited to be visiting a brand new Center Parcs.

On first impressions the village was impressive, the pool complex in the village square was so impressive. Extremely modern yet reflected the lake and greenery around it, to blend into the surroundings.

We had a few issues with our lodge, as when we arrived at 3pm it had not been cleaned, as a result was as the previous occupants had left it. I was lucky that Mike from maintenance was walking past as I ushered Joe out of the lodge. He was great, contacted guest service straight away, who had us moved to a nice clean woodland lodge within 20 minutes.

As it was slightly further out, we were provided with bikes. Guest services were so helpful, are were very concerned that we were happy to enjoy the rest of our break. I must say in reflection they dealt with it in a very professional and speedy manner, these things happen in life don't they? It is how it is dealt with that is important. Within an hour we were unpacked in our beautiful spotlessly clean lodge with a glass of wine and anti pasta.

Below is our little Lodge Vlog, I always like to know what accommodation looks like in real terms rather than photos. So thought this would be a nice idea to show the lodge. Please bear in mind, I am no Steven Spielberg. But it does show off how beautiful our lodge was.

Woohoo Disney World Booked and What a Great Deal

I just had to write about my mega bargain holiday booking, I am sooo excited. We last visited Disney World Orlando 2008, for a few years have been saying we would like to go back, so decided that next year would be the year we revisited, It will be our third trip there.

Disneyland Paris

We visited Disneyland Paris last year and although it was lovely and we had a great time it just wasn't the same as Florida. The shame is Joe cannot even remember visiting Orlando, as he was only 2½. As a result I have been following prices for the last year so I would be able to fully recognise a great deal when I see it, and not get over excited and book a deal for the sake of it.

Cruising with Royal Caribbean, Review

We have been on a 3 cruises with Royal Caribbean International, and have had some amazing experiences. I thought I would write an overview, with some hints and tips based on our experiences. We had cruised with Cunard and Princess prior to sailing with Royal Caribbean, and had thoroughly enjoyed each cruise; I don't think I can fault either.

The Liberty of the seas

We booked a cruise on Royal Caribbean as a friend recommended them, although it looked fantastic on the web site and in the brochures we were not prepared for how amazing it actually was. The first ship we sailed on was the Adventure of the Sea’s; we then went onto to sail on the Liberty of the Sea's.  As soon as we entered the arrivals lounge at the port the experience was exceptional, we hadn't experienced hospitality to this standard prior to embarking a ship before. Royal Caribbean had fresh cookies, and drinks to enjoy while we waited to embark, great when you have bored kids with you. Check-in was easy, the easiest we have ever experienced.
