I recently signed up for the All-Bran 5 day challenge, with the lovely people from All-Bran and Brit Mums. I received 3
boxes of All-Bran to try out for 5 days and write about the effects it has on
my tummy and digestion. I thought I would give it a try as it fits perfectly
with my Calf Diet. I have recently changed my whole way of eating in a bid to
loose weight. I thought I ate healthy, until I started reading boxes and
packets of the foods I was eating, and quickly released I had been getting it
so wrong. That was 11 pounds ago. As a result I am feeling so much
healthier.
One observation I have made through the years, is my
digestive system definitely has a huge impact on my weight gain/loss. I can
tell when I am starting to put on weight. Apart from obvious signs, and getting
on the scales; because my digestive system cant seem to cope with unhealthy food, and becomes sluggish. However eating healthy definitely has an impact on this.
The All-Bran couldn't have come at a better time, as they arrived on the day I
put 2 pounds on, I had PMT and felt
bloated and yes my digestive system felt sluggish.
My findings after 5 days; my digestive system was definitely less sluggish, as a result, I felt less bloated. However the best thing
was; I have always, since I can remember suffered with the worst rumbling tummy,
people are always commenting on it. Some days it sounds like I have eaten a
Lion. It really is a nightmare in meetings, and training sessions, it can
be so embarrassing. During the 5-day challenge it stopped! Yes, just like that,
how odd. Trust me you notice the difference from one day sounding like you Lion
in your tummy to being silent.
I kept to my healthy diet last week, and followed
the 5-day challenge and lost 2 lb. My
tummy feels so much calmer. In fact I ran out of All-Bran this morning, so am off to the
supermarket to get some more.
I was given 3 flavours to try, Chocolate Wheat’s,
Golden Crunch and Red Berry crunch.
To be honest I didn't really get a look in with the Chocolate Wheat’s, I tasted them on the day they arrived and yes they tasted great, but after that Joe ate them every morning for breakfast. He loved them and lovingly called them chocolate pillows, I like the fact that they are wheat pillows filled with chocolate so they are not chocolate overload, and still have high wheat content, in-fact he has put an order in for another box.

I loved the clusters in the Golden Crunch,
the first time a poured a bowl of these I was a bit disappointed, I measured
out 45grams, took one look at how much was in the bowl and thought, oh no I am
going to be starving. So I chopped a banana and added that to bulk it out. I
struggled to finish the bowl it was so filling. I never added a banana again.
Red Berry Crunch was my
absolute favourite, I loved the zing of the strawberry flakes, it was so fresh
and tasty. And again was so filling. To conclude, as a family we all loved the All-Bran and I definitely noticed a positive improvement in my digestion and it was tasty and filling, perfect to get you going for the day ahead.
