Creating Family Memories With 100 Years of Commercial Flights
When the lovely Brit Mums set
the challenge to 'Celebrate 100 years of commercial flight with the
#Flying100 Family Holiday Challenge' I was so excited. An excuse to think about
holidays and travel, hoorah, I love travelling; it is my absolute passion
in life. But then came the tricky part writing about my dream destination.
Arghh, too much choice, I want to show the Boys the world.
How could I possibly begin to choose, I go through this trauma every time I book a holiday, I just can't decide or pin point where in the world I want to go. I know this is an extremely lucky position in life to be in, to have these choices.
Since the boys were born we have endeavoured to take them exciting, educational places for our family holidays. We love cruising as a family, we love waking up in a new country every day, the explorers in us can't wait to get off the ship and visit exciting historical places such as Pompeii or explore beautiful Cities such as Barcelona and New York.
It also fulfills the adrenalin junkie and sports maniacs in the boys, they thrive on activities such as rock climbing, ice skating and surfing, and spend hours on board skipping from one activity to the next.

The Grand Canyon with Maverick Tours
We
booked our Grand Canyon trip from a ticket shop on the Las Vegas strip; to be
honest it was so overwhelming. There are so many options available; trips
to the Canyon by coach, trips by plane and several different trips by
helicopter, with varying types of helicopter, wow so many choices we did not
know what to do.
We
went to several outlets selling tours and decided on the one next to the M&M
store. We chose Maverick Tours as the helicopter had
panoramic views, comfy leather seats, and interactive headsets. The only
downfall was we had to be up a 5 am for our 5.30 pick-up aghhh.
Pick
up and boarding our helicopter was very organised, we had 3 fellow passengers
all lovely people, we set off into the sunset to the theme tune of the
magnificent seven. If you had told me this would have happened before I would
have said how corny, but it was breathtaking, setting off into the sunrise.
We
were told by our pilot that we would not be able to communicate through our
headsets, until we were in the air and had airport clearance. One we had
clearance and was able to speak, Joe said loud and clear, "Jack's a
lady" that broke the ice a tad. Jack Did not seem to find it that funny!

Viva Las Vegas with Kids
When Chris and I was 40 we decided that rather than getting each other a
big present we would book a Holiday as a gift, Chris decided he wanted a
surprise so gave me a list of 5 places in the world he would like to go, I cant
remember exactly what places were on that list but one of them was the grand
canyon. So I decided I would book Las Vegas so he could visit the Grand Canyon.
It was a big decision to book Vegas as lots of people advised us not to
take the boys, however I knew they would love it. They are not the sorts of
boys that would want to spend two weeks round a pool, they like to explore and
be active.
Another huge decision was where to stay; I wanted a really good hotel, and one that we would love but also have something for the Boys. I chose the MGM Grand as it has a huge pool complex and lazy river, the Lions that live in the hotel and the quality. I definitely made the right choice, the hotel was huge, in fact vast.
